BOND RESIDENCY 25TH ANNIVERSARY REMASTER

This project started with earnest in November of 2005 and I had hoped to finish in time for May 2006 which would have been the real 25th anniversary release. However, I grossly underestimated the amount of time necessary to review all 17 shows and did not get to complete it until September of 2006. Some shows after completing one pass, I ended up going back few more times because I was not satisfied with the result.

The main source for this remaster is the full 17 show set that surfaced few years ago from one trader. I did not use the radio broadcast version of June 9, 1981 show nor any other Sony sources. Thus some shows like June 4 you will be disappointed because the best sounding audience source is not the best of quality. If you want to hear the crystal clear version of the Bond Residency then do go for myriad of June 9 bootlegs that are available or the "From Here To Eternity" disc. However, if you are like me and think the best of Clash can only be experienced from audience recordings, then this is for you. The "Best of Bond" was easier to come up with since I trusted folks at blackmarketclash.com and used their reviews to pick best sounding versions. That one took only few days to compile.

I could not have done this without support from folks at the Satch's Forum. But my utmost respect and gratitude must be reserved for JulieJazz who put up with my constant requests for changes and corrections for artwork. All the artwork is result of her hard work and shows that this can only come from a true diehard Clash fan!

I struggled over and over to come up with the reasonable amount to charge for this product. My initial price range was around $250 but that is way, way too much. Eventually I settled on charging $5 USD per disc (36 discs x $5 = $180). Lest you think I am getting rich by charging this amount of money - I can hear the chorus of "Turning Rebellion Into Money," I intend to donate at least $50 per sale of each set to strummerville charity.

(Note - the "Best of Bond" does not come with CD case. Just the discs and artworks.) Using PayPal is the fastest and easiest way to get the discs.
